The British Automobile Racing Club visits Cadwell Park this weekend (14/15 May) with a busy programme of racing that includes the Citroen 2CV Championship, Classic Touring Cars, Mini racing and more!
The Mini is still as popular now as it was when it first appeared on British race tracks over half a century ago and although motorsport may have changed a great deal, the icon of British motoring history has lost none of its appeal. Britain's favourite small car will be well represented this weekend in the form of the Mini Se7en Championship, BARC Mini Trophy and the Mini Miglia Championship.
The Mini Se7ens are capable of achieving 0-60mph in just under seven seconds and can reach 110mph, whilst the powerful Mini Miglias run modified 1293cc engines that should see them reach speeds closer to 120mph on the Lincolnshire circuit.
There will be close racing in the Classic Touring Car races with categories split on age dating back to pre-66 up to the early years of the 21st Century. It's a great opportunity for fans to relive decades gone by, but there will be no room for nostalgia amongst the drivers as the competition is as fierce as ever with crucial points at stake early on in the season.
The Citroen 2CV Championship has been entertaining fans for years with an emphasis on driver skill and whilst they may not be the fastest cars on the track, there's plenty of entertainment on offer with every corner closely contested. There's no better place for a driver to showcase their talents than on the tight and twisty Cadwell Park circuit.
The Hyundai Coupe Cup also features on the bill. There are no points awarded in this series, so expect maximum attack from the drivers on Saturday as they look to make an impression. There's even more tin top action with two races from the Northern Saloons and Sports Car Championships featuring BMWs and Porsches amongst other machinery.ADVANCE BOOKING HAS NOW CLOSED. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT THE GATE.

Dunlop Mini Miglia ChampionshipThese Minis run with modified 1293cc engines and combined with a lightweight 660kg chassis, this allows them to accelerate from 0-60mph in less than five seconds. They are also capable of speeds in excess of 120mph.
Dunlop Mini Se7en ChampionshipMini Se7ens aren't to be underestimated as they're capable of achieving 0-60mph in just under seven seconds and have a top speed of around 110mph. These relatively affordable machines provide great entertainment for drivers and spectators alike.
